The monument to the victims of fascism is located on a large arterial road, the Strada Calea Orheiului, on the edge of an industrial area, right next to the car dealership of a German luxury brand. It is believed that this is the location of the shooting site where several hundred people were executed in 1941. An information board lists the numbers of around 15,000 Jews, who were shot – men, women and children. The monument, erected in 1982, commemorates the Jewish victims of fascism throughout Bessarabia.
